About Hill
Hill Kent is a vibrant eco-artist, teacher and mother who has an undying love for
bees & butterflies, cooking, and croissants.
For her studio work, Hill makes paint with earth materials. She is enraptured by the full and slow process of making color - collecting supplies like leaves and clay, processing into paint and finally seeing the whimsical forms the colors take on wood and paper.
When traveling, she makes digital illustrations and creates art with her son. You can often find her collecting promising pigment pieces on a hike or in her budding color garden. And you should see the jars in Hill’s studio filled with dried flowers, lichens, husks and stones…
" I like to ask questions about what it takes to live fully nourished and in reciprocity to this beautiful Earth that we temporarily inhabit. This imbues my creations with deep flavors of celebration for the cycle of life.
May you see the beauty in the dark and the light, the possibility for growth and the mystery of it all." ~Hill
